1. What is your Name, Class and Level?
Annika Koslov, 12th level warlock.
2. What are your primary professions?
Tailor and enchanter.
3. Have you been in any other guilds on this server? If so, please list them.
The only other guild I have been in on Steamwheedle Cartel is "The Brightburn Tribe," a Horde guild that I run. Annika has not been in any other guilds.
4. Why did you leave the previous guild(s)?
N/A
5. Why do you wish to join Argentum Ordo?
After a brief encounter with Dieritha on my other character, Kessidy, she told me about the guild and gave me the website to visit. I particularly like the Code of Conduct the guild abides by, and as I'm looking to find a place in the RP community of this server, Argentum Ordo seemed like a perfect fit.
6. What are your goals as a player? (ex: RP, PvP, PvE, End Game, etc.)
I'm looking for role-play, first and foremost. Most importantly, I firmly believe that RP consists of more than sitting around a tavern talking. As long as I am behaving as my character would, even without speaking or emoting a lot, I am role-playing. What I enjoy most is role-playing with friends while questing (PvE). I'd also like to learn a bit more about PvP, but it is definitely not my focus.
7. What do you expect from the guild?
Only worship and adoration.
But seriously, I just expect people to role-play with, and hopefully to quest with on occasion as well. I want people to tell stories with. I enjoy getting involved with other characters' plotlines, and sharing my own.
8. Please share a bit about your character (IC, be creative!)
"You wish to hear my tale? Very well, gather round the fire and listen close. I am Annika Koslov of the Zigani people -- what you might call "gypsies." Yes, thieves...vagrants...tricksters...those are the ones. But we hardly have a monopoly on chicanery and skulduggery. We are just people, who happen to be nomads and entertainers.
"Indeed, entertainers! Singers, dancers, jugglers, storytellers, prestidigitators. As for myself, my role was twofold. As a sword-dancer, I was a crowd-pleaser. But my real talent lay in the cards and stones.
"You see, I was born with a gift: "the Sight" my people call it. I have some ability to perceive the threads of fate. No, no, it isn't "seeing the future," though that is possible. But the future is not set in stone. It is part of the tapestry of history, but will not become static until woven into the present. All a seer can do is look at the threads and make an educated guess as to what will come to pass. Even then, one can only observe threads one is aware of. It is very rare, and very difficult, to look into the future of events one has no connection to. It is a limited, but useful talent.
"But in my bloodline, this talent comes by way of a connection to the Twisting Nether. Few of us have ever delved deeper into that connection. But I did. More than one member of my family has been lost to madness, and I would avoid that path. I believe the only way to do this is to understand the nature of this link. To accomplish this, I have taken up the way of the warlock. It is a dangerous road, I know. But the alternative is to walk blindly through the darkened wood. I prefer to see where I am going."
9. Please share a bit about YOU (OOC)
I am an Instructional Assistant for Special Education in Oregon. It's the best job I've ever had, and I want to do it for the rest of my life.
I have a seven year old daughter who is the most precious thing in the world to me, despite the trials she puts me through. It was because of her own special needs that I got involved in my current job. So I suppose I should thank her for teaching me some incredibly valuable lessons about tolerance and understanding.
I am a role-player. It's my preferred hobby. I love to RP, be it in WoW or tabletop games. My favorite tabletop games include Deadlands, Changeling: The Dreaming, and Legend of the Five Rings. I'm usually most comfortable sitting behind the Game Master screen, but I thoroughly enjoy being a player, as well.
I am an artist, though not professionally. Drawing is my passion, and I don't do near enough of it. Some samples of my work can be found on my deviantART gallery.
10. Additional comments and information:
I am a member of an OOC community of role-players called Dramatis Personae. We are not guild-specific, or even server-specific. That has its pros and cons. But we are always looking to expand our connections with the RP community of WoW. I openly invite anyone interested to check out lore.dramatis-personae.com.
