"My story is one of loneliness and hope. I am Idari Moonshadow daughter of Serana and Loranum. I was never quite what my family had expected, my mother being a mage and my father being a shaman. I showed at a very young age that i had a gift for the light, healing sick animals and such.
My parents thought it was merely the healing abilities of the shaman but with a different coloration, stranger things have happened you know, until i told my mother of a dream that i had been having. I saw this creature, which i now know to be a Naaru, and it spoke to me. It told me that i had great potential in the way of light. I told my mother i didnt know what it meant and that she shouldnt worry, but she still seemed concerened.
The next day i woke up to my mother packing my things. She told me i was going away. I began to cry as any child would do if she was told she was leaving her home. The trip was long and sad, my mother said little and my father said nothing but about how he was amazed that there was no arcane potential in me. By the time we reached our destination i had run out of tears. It was then that i realized what was happening, i was being abandoned. I was left at the gate of Stormwind. Imagine a child of merely 6 left at that gate with nothing but the tears on her face and the clothes in her case. I wandered into town looking for someone to help me but at this point i did not speak common, so no one could understand me.
I walked for many hours, asking people to help me, but no one understood. I was tired and hungry when i finally collapsed and fell into unconsciousness. I awoke in a bed surrounded by people i didnt recognize. I began to ask questions but stopped after i saw the same confused look that i had gotten in town. One human woman left in a hurry and came back with a very large man in a cloak. He approached my bed and asked me in my own language if i was ok. I explained that i was just hungry. He laughed heartily and his hood fell back, another draenai!!
This man, Go'andren his name was, raised me from that day as a faithful servant of the light. He taught be to speak common, which made day to day life much easier as you could imagine. When i reached the age of 13 he handed me a hammer and taught me to fight. He immediately saw my potential and had me meet a friend of his who began training me as a paladin. I have lived in this monastery ever since. Stormwind is my home and Go'andren is my father as far as anyone else is concerned.
That was my story, i hope i didnt bore you."
